Transparent Background

Hello all,

is this possible, to set the background of tChart (V8) transparent?

So the Chart will fit in the form with the same appearence.

Hello Narcis

Thank you for sending me the project. When I run it, I get the result shown in the attached image - definitely not showing a map series with transparent chart background. I am using Delphi 2009 with Vista. Any help would be appreciated.

I'm not sure to understand what you mean. I see a map series, and I see the image behind the chart. Could you please explain what you are exactly trying to achieve?

On the other hand, as this new forum allows us to attach files, here is the project for whoever wants it.

You are quite right; the demo project does work correctly.

I am saving files in PNG, TIFF and GIF formats. My hope is that in those saved images the chart background could be transparent.

Hi David,

I'm afraid that exporting to bitmaps charts with transparency is a known problem already in the wish list to be fixed in further releases.
